- IntroductionNavigio is an augmented reality (AR) mobile application that helps users navigate enclosed spaces such as museums, parks, and shopping malls. Using GPS-enabled navigation and markers, the app provides a convenient way to find locations and routes. The application provides additional contextual information about the objects of the location, and also helps to navigate easily in unfamiliar places thanks to convenient navigation and an intuitive interface.
Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that superimposes virtual elements (images, text, or objects) onto the real world. This is achieved using devices such as smartphones, tablets, or AR glasses.
How does Navigio help the user?- Allows you to set routes inside buildings, including multi-storey ones.
- It allows you to quickly find points of interest by tags, navigate to them, both online and offline.
- Displays objects in augmented reality and contextual information about them.
- Provides interactive quests and tasks, as well as prizes from partners for completing them.
- Provides an opportunity to listen to audio guides inside the location.
- Getting startedInstalling the app
- Check that your device meets the system requirements (operating systems: iOS 13+, Android 8+, Windows 10).
- Download Navigio from the App Store or Google Play.
- Install the app on your device.
- Allow access to the camera and geolocation for AR to work correctly.
- Registration and authorization
- Open the application and select the authorization method:
- By phone number.
- Through a Telegram cross-platform account.
- Setting up a profile
- Go to the "Profile" section.
- Specify your name, avatar, and preferred interface language.
- Set up notifications and app permissions.
- Select the type of navigation arrows in the application.

- Log in to the app and select the location you are interested in.
- Click "Start navigation".
- Find the starting point (the scan marker placed on the floor);
- Point the camera at the scan marker on the floor (bring the camera closer if the room is dark or there is glare);
- Follow the interactive prompts on the screen.
- Marker search and interaction with objects
- Locate the scan marker in the selected space (displayed on the map).
- Point the camera at the marker to activate AR objects around it.
- To get information, click on the AR objects of interest.
- Completing quests
- Go to the Achievements section.
- Select an available task.
- Follow the route and complete the tasks to get the rewards.
- Tips and tricksOptimizing work with AR
- Make sure that your device has an adequate battery charge.
- Update the app to the latest version.
- Use the app in good lighting conditions.
- Elimination of typical errors
- Problem: The marker is not recognized. Solution: Clean the camera and try again, bring the camera closer to the scan marker.
- Problem: The app is running slowly. Solution: Close unnecessary applications to free up resources.
- Problem: AR objects are displayed out of place. Solution: Scan the marker again.
- Problem: The application takes up a lot of memory. Solution: In the “Profile" section, in the “Uploaded Locations” tab, delete the locations that are no longer in use.
